Tired of setting complicated and impossible New Year’s resolutions, just to end up disappointed? Instead, use these simple and manageable tips to start off the New Year as a better student!

  1. Get excited about a new agenda for 2019!
What if the only thing standing in between you and meeting your goals were bad organizational skills and poor time management? Every student can benefit from using a planner daily to write down school assignments during each class, check for homework each night, and plan ahead to study for tests, papers, and projects. Even young children can build healthy habits by writing daily in a fun and themed agenda!
If you don’t already have a daily agenda for 2019, click here to buy one on Amazon for as little as $5!
  2. Set study and school goals!
Set S.M.A.R.T. study goals – plans that are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time bound. If you want to finish the semester with all A’s or all A’s and B’s, commit to that goal now! (Most planners even have their own goal-setting section!) Then hang these written goals in a highly visible place in your home for a daily reminder!
  3. Establish a relationship with an Apollo Tutor!
Apollo tutors are college-age students who can help you or your student get on track! With an average college GPA of 3.7, our tutors have mastered what it takes to succeed! Find your tutor today at www.apollotutors.org!
